..glorious roses for the Glorius Mysteries of the most Holy Rosary
Among the several rites and manners of paying honor to the Blessed Mary, some are to be preferred, inasmuch as we know them to be most powerful and most pleasing to our Mother; and for this reason we specially mention by name and recommend the Rosary.
The common language has given the name of corona to this manner of prayer, which recalls to our minds the great mysteries of Jesus and Mary united in joys, sorrows, and triumphs.
The contemplation of these august mysteries, contemplated in their order, of fords to faithful souls a wonderful confirmation of faith, protection against the disease of error, and increase of the strength of the soul. The soul and memory of him who thus prays, enlightened by faith, are drawn towards these mysteries by the sweetest devotion, are absorbed therein and are surprised before the work of the Redemption of mankind, achieved at such a price and by events so great.
The soul is filled with gratitude and love before these proofs of Divine love; its hope becomes enlarged and its desire is increased for those things which Christ has prepared for such as have united themselves to Him in imitation of His example and in participation in His sufferings.
The prayer is composed of words proceeding from God Himself, from the Archangel Gabriel, and from the Church; full of praise and of high desires; and it is renewed and continued in an order at once fixed and various; its fruits are ever new and sweet.

Blessed Ember Tuesday of the last week of Advent , for everyone passing by
Encyclical, "On Devotion of the Rosary" by Pope Leo XIII, 1883
Our merciful God, as you know, raised up against these most direful enemies a most holy man, the illustrious parent and founder of the Dominican Order.
Great in the integrity of his doctrine, in his example of virtue, and by his apostolic labors, he proceeded undauntedly to attack the enemies of the Catholic Church, not by force of arms, but trusting wholly to that devotion which he was the first to institute under the name of the Holy Rosary, which was disseminated through the length and breadth of the earth by him and his pupils. Guided, in fact, by divine inspiration and grace, he foresaw that this devotion, like a most powerful warlike weapon, would be the means of putting the enemy to flight, and of confounding their audacity and mad impiety"

.. for all those praying
Nevertheless, if men in our century, with its derisive pride, refuse the Holy Rosary, there is an innumerable multitude of holy men of every age and every condition who have always held it dear. They have recited it with great devotion, and in every moment they have used it as a powerful weapon to put the demons to flight, to preserve the integrity of life, to acquire virtue more easily, and in a word to attain real peace among men. Nor are there lacking men famous as to doctrine and wisdom who, although intensely occupied in scientific study and researches, never even for a day fail to pray fervently on bended knee, before the image of the Virgin, in this most pious form. Thus kings and princes, however burdened with most urgent occupations and affairs, made it their duty to recite the Rosary."

..for all praying the most Holy Rosary
Father Gabriel Amorth, chief exorcist of the Vatican writes about the Hail Mary and the Value of the Rosary:
One day a colleague of mine heard the devil say during an exorcism:
"Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end."
The secret that makes this prayer so effective is that the Rosary is both prayer and meditation. It is addressed to the Father, to the Blessed Virgin, and to the Holy Trinity, and is a meditation centered on Christ.
I write in addition to the above: Please enunciate each word of the Rosary clearly and distinctly. Do not trample on the heels' of the words of anyone with your words. Do not speak over the leader, if you are following, or the responders if you are leading the Rosary. Remember that they also are having a conversation with Mary Our Mother and it is not polite to speak when someone else is speaking.
Spread this powerful prayer of exorcism, The Rosary which contains the Our Father, the Perfect Prayer, prayed five times in the recitation of each set of the Rosary's Mysteries, backed up by the powerful prayers of Our Mother who prays with us as we pray 53 Hail Marys.
The Eternal Father described to a group of us, through a Visionary Friend of mine, what happens when we pray the Rosary, saying, "When you pray Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now....., the Blessed Mother comes instantly to your side to pray with you. And she does not come alone. She brings angels with her. And not just one or two for she is the Queen of Angels, so choirs of angels come with her. And she and Jesus are joined at the heart and cannot be separated so she brings Jesus with her. And Jesus cannot be separated from the Trinity so He brings the Father and the Holy Spirit with Him.
And where the Holy Trinity is all of creation is and you are surrounded by such beauty and light as you cannot imagine in this life. Your Mother comes as Our Lady of Grace with her hands out-stretched. Rays of light emit from her hands piercing your body, healing you and filling you with graces.
This is your inheritance which was poured out from the heart of Jesus on the Cross, when the centurion pierced His Heart with the spear, into the only pure vessel ready to receive such graces at that time,Your Mother.
Now as you pray the Rosary, or even just recite one Hail Mary, you receive your portion of these graces."He also said at this time, "Anyone who goes to Mary and prays the Rosary cannot be touched by satan."
Is it any wonder that anyone who prays the Rosary from the heart is so blessed and protected and powerful in their prayers for others?"

for all those praying the most Holy Rosary
I beg of you to beware of thinking of the Rosary as something of little importance - as do ignorant people and even several great but proud scholars. Far from being insignificant, the rosary is a priceless treasure which is inspired by God.
~ St. Louis de Montfort~
For as the disastrous condition of the Church and of Society proved to Us the extreme necessity for signal aid from God, it was manifest to Us that aid should be sought through the intercession of His Mother, and by the express means of the Rosary, which Christians have ever found to be of marvelous avail.
This indeed has been well proved since the very institution of the devotion, both in the vindication of Holy Faith against the furious attacks of heresy, and in restoring to honor the virtues, which by reason of the Age's corruption, required to be rekindled and sustained.
And this same proof was continued in all succeeding ages, by a never failing series of private and public benefits, whereof the illustrious remembrance is everywhere perpetuated and immortalized by monuments and existing institutions.

For those praying the Holy Rosary
"The rosary is the book of the blind, where souls see and there enact the greatest drama of love the world has ever known;
it is the book of the simple, which initiates them into mysteries and knowledge more satisfying than the education of other men;
it is the book of the aged, whose eyes close upon the shadow of this world, and open on the substance of the next.
The power of the Rosary is beyond description."

Today we're praying Not any Luminous Mysteries , just The Joyful Mysteries - following our Lady of the Rosary and Fatima teachings
..and following not any novelties additions . Why Not Luminous Mysteries :
A constant characteristic of the pre-Vatican II Popes was to abhor novelty and to safeguard tradition, including traditional devotions.
Thus, if one could go back in time and ask any of the pre-Vatican II Popes why they never added "new mysteries" to the Rosary, the answer is easy to presume. "Because," the pre-conciliar Pope would say, "if I add 5 new mysteries, I will have to add 5 new decades. If I add five new decades, then the Rosary can no longer be called 'Our Lady's Psalter'. Now Catholic tradition and Our Blessed Mother referred to the Rosary as Her 'Psalter', because the 150 Hail Mary's of the 15-decade Rosary correspond to the 150 Psalms of David. It would be audacious of us to add 5 decades. This would be the decimation of the entire concept of Mary's 'Psalter', a term hallowed by centuries of usage, a term that explains the origin and essence of the Rosary, a term used by the Queen of Heaven Herself. Further, if we make this radical change to the Rosary, then what is to prevent more radical changes in the future?"
The entire history of the Rosary is bound up with the 150 Psalms of the Old Testament, otherwise known as the Psalter of David. From the dawn of Catholic history, monks and hermits prayed these Psalms as part of their daily liturgical life.
Saint Benedict, in his Holy Rule, explains that the monks of the desert recited the 150 Psalms every day. Saint Benedict arranged the Psalms for his monks so that all 150 would be recited in one week. This became the Divine Office (Breviary) that priests and religious recited every day until the post-conciliar aggiornamento revolutionized both Breviary and Mass.
Saint Thomas Aquinas explains that the Psalter of David, composed as it is of one hundred and fifty Psalms, is divided into three equal parts of fifty Psalms each. These three equal parts represent figuratively the three stages in which the faithful find themselves: the state of penance, the state of justice, the state of glory. Likewise, explains Father Anthony Fuerst, "the Rosary of Mary is divided into three parts of fifty Hail Mary's each in order to express fully the phrases of the life of the faithful: penance, justice and glory."
Heaven itself declared the immeasurable value of this Psalter. In 1214, Our Blessed Mother told Saint Dominic to "preach My Psalter" in order to rekindle faith, to convert sinners and to crush stubborn heresy. Saint Louis de Montfort tells the story in his magnificent work, The Secret of the Rosary.
"Saint Dominic," writes Saint Louis, "seeing that the gravity of the peoples' sin was hindering the conversion of the Albigensians, withdrew to a forest near Toulouse where he prayed unceasingly for three days and three nights. During this time he did nothing but weep and do harsh penances in order to appease the anger of Almighty God. He used his discipline so much that his body was lacerated, and finally he fell into a coma."
Our Lady then appeared to him, accompanied by three angels. She said, "Dear Dominic, do you know which weapon the Blessed Trinity wants to use to reform the world?"Saint Dominic asked Her to tell him. Our Lady responded:
"I want you to know that, in this kind of warfare, the battering ram has always been the Angelic Psalter which is the foundation stone of the New Testament. Therefore if you want to reach these hardened souls and win them over to God, preach My Psalter."
At Fatima, the Mother of God did not ask for a radically updated Rosary. Through the children, she told us to recite daily "a third of the Rosary," and warned of dire consequences if Her requests were not fulfilled. Thanks to the latest update, however, every new book that recounts these words of Our Lady of Fatima will require a footnote to explain that when She said "a third of the Rosary," She meant 5 decades, since a third of the new twenty-decade Rosary is 6.66 decades.
It is puzzling that the post-Vatican II Popes constantly give our Lady something different from what She requests. Our Lady asked that the Third Secret be revealed in 1960. Pope John XXIII refused its release, as did his immediate successor, Pope Paul VI. In 1964, during the Second Vatican Council, Pope Paul VI sent a Golden Rose to Fatima, something other than what She asked.
Obviously, Our Lady of Fatima's call for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for its conversion is more urgent than ever.
Despite this urgency, the Pope John Paul II's 13,500-word Rosarium Virginis Mariae treats Fatima as practically non-existent. This is one of the most baffling aspects of his Letter.Fatima, along with Lourdes, is mentioned only once in passing. The Pope took the time to explain each prayer of the Rosary: the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, etc., but he makes no mention of the Fatima aspiration that Our Lady asked to be included after each decade: "Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need."
In the Apostolic Letter, this modest addition to the Rosary ordered by Our Lady of Fatima is ignored, only to give center-stage to John Paul's radical alteration. The Letter also contains no specific mention of Our Lady's "Immaculate Heart", nor any word of the Five First Saturdays of Reparation. It's almost as if Fatima never took place.
In the end this is one of the many reasons that we will adhere to the 15-decade Rosary of Saint Dominic, and not adopt the new 20-decade novelty. Nor will we teach the Rosary to our children through the pathetic medium of World Youth Day antics. Our Blessed Mother at Fatima taught the children to pray the Rosary as is, and to pray it with maturity, reverence and attention. We will teach our children to do the same. Deo gratias , Holy Mary , ora pro nobis

Never forget to pray the Holy Rosary
The fathers and mothers of families particularly must give an example to their children, especially when, at sunset, they gather together after the day's work, within the domestic walls, and recite the Holy Rosary on bended knees before the image of the Virgin, together fusing voice, faith and sentiment. This is a beautiful and salutary custom, from which certainly there cannot but be derived tranquility and abundance of heavenly gifts for the household."

The Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary - part 2 -
The Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary - part 1 -
Blessed Alan de la Roche
All things, even the holiest, are subject to change, especially when they are dependent on man's free will. It is hardly to be wondered at, then, that the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary only retained its first fervor for one century after it was instituted by Saint Dominic. After this, it was like a thing buried and forgotten.
Doubtless, too, the wicked scheming and jealousy of the devil were largely responsible for getting people to neglect the Holy Rosary, and thus block the flow of God's grace which it had drawn down upon the world.
Thus, in 1349, God punished the whole of Europe and sent the most terrible plague that had ever been known into every land. It started first in the east and spread throughout Italy, Germany, France, Poland, and Hungary, bringing desolation wherever it came - for out of a hundred men hardly one lived to tell the tale. Big towns, little towns, villages, and monasteries were almost completely deserted during the three years that the epidemic lasted.
This scourge of God was quickly followed by two others: the heresy of Flagellants and a tragic schism in 1376.
Later on when these trials were over, thanks to the mercy of God, Our Lady told Blessed Alan to revive the ancient Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. Blessed Alan was one of the Dominican Fathers from the monastery at Dinan, in Brittany. He was an eminent theologian and was famous for his sermons. Our Lady chose him because, since the Confraternity had originally been started in this province, it was most fitting that a Dominican from the very same province, should have the honor of reestablishing it.
Blessed Alan began this great work in 1460 after a special warning from Our Lord, Who wished to spur him on to preach the Holy Rosary, spoke to him in the Sacred Host: "How can you crucify Me again so soon?" Jesus said. "What did You say, Lord?", asked Blessed Alan, horrified. "You crucified Me once before by your sins," answered Jesus, "and I would willingly be crucified again rather than have My Father offended by the sins you used to commit. You are crucifying Me again now because you have all the learning and understanding that you need to preach My Mother's Rosary, and you are not doing so. If you only did this you could teach many souls that right path and lead them away from sin - but you are not doing it and so you yourself are guilty of the sins that they commit."
This terrible reproach made Blessed Alan solemnly resolve to preach the Rosary unceasingly.
Our Lady too spoke to him one day to inspire him to preach the Holy Rosary more and more:
"You were a great sinner in your youth," she said, "but I obtained the grace of your conversion from my Son. Had such a thing been possible I would have liked to have gone through all kinds of suffering to save you because converted sinners are a glory to me. And I would have done this also to make you worthy of preaching my Rosary far and wide."
Saint Dominic appeared to Blessed Alan as well and told him of the great results of his ministry: he had preached the Holy Rosary unceasingly, his sermons had borne great fruit and many people had been converted during his missions. He said to Blessed Alan:
"See the wonderful results I have had through preaching the Holy Rosary! You and all those who love Our Lady ought to do the same so that, by means of this holy practice of the Rosary, you may draw all people to the real science of the virtues."
Briefly, then, this is the history of how Saint Dominic established the Holy Rosary and of how Blessed Alan de la Roche restored it.

The Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary~~part1~~
Hail, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, my Mother Mary, hail! At thy feet I humbly kneel to offer thee a Crown of Roses--snow white buds to remind thee of thy joys--each bud recalling to thee a holy mystery; each ten bound together with my petition for a particular grace.
O Holy Queen, dispenser of God's graces, and Mother of all who invoke thee! Thou canst not look upon my gift and fail to see its binding. As thou receivest my gift, so wilt thou receive my petition; from thy bounty thou wilt give me the favor I so earnestly and trustingly seek.
I despair of nothing that I ask of thee. Show thyself my Mother!

Glorious Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary ~ part 1 ~
In Petition
Hail, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, my Mother Mary, hail! At thy feet I humbly kneel to offer thee a Crown of Roses--full-blown white roses, tinged with the red of the Passion, to remind thee of thy glories, fruits of the sufferings of thy Son and thee--each rose recalling to thee a holy mystery; each ten bound together with my petition for a particular grace.
Let us pray :
Hail, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, my Mother Mary, hail! At thy feet I humbly kneel to offer thee a Crown of Roses--full-blown white roses, tinged with the red of the Passion, to remind thee of thy glories, fruits of the sufferings of thy Son and thee--each rose recalling to thee a holy mystery; each ten bound together with my petition for a particular grace.

I despair of nothing that I ask of thee. Show thyself my Mother!
Let us pray :
Rosary a spur to evangelic Virtue
( Encyclical of Pope Pius XI - on the Recitation of Holy Rosary to combat modern evils )
The Holy Rosary, besides, not only serves admirably to overcome the enemies of God and Religion, but is also a stimulus and spur to the practice of evangelic virtues which it injects and cultivates in our souls. Above all, it nourishes the Catholic Faith, which flourishes again precisely in opportune meditation of the sacred mysteries, and raises minds to the truth revealed to us by God.
Every one can understand how salutary it is, especially in our times wherein sometimes a certain annoyance of the things of the spirit is felt even among the faithful, and a dislike, as it were, for the Christian doctrine.
Therefore, revive the hope of immortal welfare, while the triumph of Jesus Christ and of His Mother, meditated on by us in the last part of the Rosary, shows us Heaven open and invites us to the conquest of the Eternal Country.
Thus while an unbridled longing for the things of this earth has penetrated into the hearts of mortals and each one more ardently longs for the short-lived riches and ephemeral pleasures, all feel a fruitful call back to the heavenly treasures "where thieves do not break in and neither rust nor moth doth consume" (Matth. XII, 33), and to the wealth that will never perish.
And the charity which has been weakened and cooled in many, how can it fail to be rekindled into love in the souls of those who recall with a full heart the tortures and death of our Redeemer and the afflictions of His Sorrowful Mother?
From this charity towards God, then, there cannot but rise a more intense love of one's neighbor if one dwells on the labors and sorrows that Our Lord suffered for all, reinstating the lost inheritance of the children of God.

Today : Sorrowful Mysteries
The Sorrowful Mysteries are prayed on Tuesdays and Fridays, and all Sundays of Lenten Season.
1. The Agony in the Garden
Let us contemplate in this mystery how our Lord, Jesus Christ, was so afflicted for us in the Garden of Gethsemane, that his body was bathed in a sweat of blood.
Jesus, my Lord, though you prayed to the Father to take away the cup of suffering, yet immediately you added saying, “not my will, but your will”. Lord, when I am caught in the throes of pain, lead me that I may learn to Pray like you and accept the will of the Father.
2. The Scourging of Jesus
Let us contemplate in this mystery how our Lord Jesus Christ, being delivered up by Pilate to the fury of the soldiers, was tied to a pillar and most cruelly scourged.
Lord Jesus, You did not deserve and yet You accepted the punishment. Lord, when we are punished and insulted for no fault of ours, give us the strength to accept it and offer that little suffering with your passion for the salvation of the world.
3. The Crowning with Thorns
Let us contemplate in this mystery how those cruel soldiers plaited a crown of sharp thorns, and most cruelly pressed it on the sacred head of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord Jesus, you are the King of the Universe. Instead of wearing a crown of precious stones, you were made to wear a crown of thorns. Lord, you took upon yourself all the humiliation for my sins. Let me never ever hurt you by hurting and insulting others.
4. The Carrying of the Cross
Let us contemplate in this mystery how our Lord Jesus Christ, being sentenced to die, bore with the most amazing patience, the Cross which was laid upon him for his greater torment and ignominy.
Lord Jesus, the cross you did not deserve was put on you. Give me the strength to joyfully accept the suffering I do not deserve.
5. The Crucifixion
Let us contemplate in this mystery how our Lord Jesus Christ was stripped of his clothes, and how his hands and feet were most cruelly nailed to the Cross, on which he died, in the presence of his most afflicted Mother.
Lord Jesus, you could really mean and say “It is finished”. Give us the power of the Holy Spirit, so that we too may complete the task entrusted to us and repeat your Words when our earthly life comes to an end.

Today the Rosary is Even More Powerful
We already know the power of the Rosary, through history---Lepanto and Austria---and the many miracles throughout the history of the Church. And now in our times what has happened? Once again Sister Lucy said, "The Most Holy Virgin in these last times,"---interesting that Sister Lucy refers to the times in which we live as 'these last times.'---"The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Holy Rosary ..."
A new efficacy, more power. If the Holy Rosary in days past was gun powder it is now a nuclear weapon, is what she is saying---new efficacy. She has given this "efficacy" to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or, above all, spirituaL in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary."
My dear friends, those who are realistic know all too well that saving our souls is not easy. I am from the United States which was founded, if anything, as a Protestant country and so we are surrounded with Protestant principles. We have the false principle that pretty much everybody is going to Heaven. You don't have to do anything in particular except make a vague act of faith at some point in your life. But those of us who know, are aware that salvation is difficult. The road is narrow.
We are in Greater Need
Even in 1917, the children were given a vision of Hell and souls were falling into Hell like snowflakes fall in a snowstorm. And then we think, 1917, things were pretty good back then. Where have we come since 1917? If it was a snowstorm of souls falling into Hell at that time what is it now? Several times worse, I guarantee. How can someone say that they wish to save their souls and at the same time refuse to pray the Rosary faithfully? This does not make any sense. I would say somebody who does not say the Rosary and says they want to go to Heaven is contradicting themselves, especially after Our Lady has told us we must pray the Rosary.
There is hope for us and that hope is Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. And the key to Her Heart is Her Holy Rosary. The Message of the Rosary is one of hope. Our Lady did not show the children the vision of Hell to discourage them. It was to encourage them in the ways of truth and of virtue. To confirm them on the right path.

the Most Holy Trinity all the graces necessary for salvation.
